Original Wedding Invitations — Build Anticipation For Your Marriage

Sara Doherty, a graphic designer with a fine arts background, launched the Crazy Daisy Design of a Minneapolis-based design company dedicated to creating completely original wedding invitations, art-quality bridal announcements, and print materials for weddings.

Doherty was featured in the July 2003 issue of Minnesota Bride magazine for her innovative blending of bridal print tradition with fiber and fine art elements. Her company’s customized original wedding invitation designs meet the demand for today’s individualistic couples.

Often, couples getting married are disappointed with the limited options that standard invitations for weddings offer. They don’t want the same old bridal designs they’ve seen on others invitations. They want something that reflects their creative personality as a couple, and the kind of wedding they are planning. Sara Doherty takes time to get to know the couple and listen to their ideas to create something that they can really connect with for their wedding, whether it is something elegant or absolutely outrageous.

A creative invitation builds anticipation for the event. Her designs are unique and include everything from a basket-weave ‘tiki’ style invitation for a destination beach wedding in Florida to an invitation that was wrapped with handmade bead flowers that matched the beadwork on the bride’s dress.

Crazy Daisy specializes in unique wedding invitations, thank you cards, programs, and accessories, but also designs baby announcements, party invitations, signage and others.
